What is NILE? The Northern International Livestock Exposition, more commonly known as NILE, is a non-profit association based in Billings. It was originally founded in 1967 by local ranchers and businessmen as a way to promote agriculture in the region. In the 40 years since, NILE has expanded into an umbrella organization with many activities and programs dedicated to promoting agriculture, livestock production and respect of Western tradition. NILE is guided by a 20-member Board of Directors, elected from the membership, with an 9-member Executive Committee. Over a dozen committees provide the volunteer labor and leadership needed to produce NILE events and programs year-round. Our administrative office and staff are located in a building rented by NILE on MetraPark grounds.
Who can belong? Membership in NILE is open to any individual or business. Click on the membership you are interested in.
How is NILE funded? NILE is a non-profit organization financed by member dues, sponsorships and ticket sales. NILE considers its membership the lifeblood of the organization.
